An introduction
In a hole in the ground there lived a homeschooler. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it a was a homeschooler-hole, and that means comfort.
…and yes… said homeschooler may have had a mild obsession with Tolkien.
I am a Christian- and firmly believe that one can glorify God through writing and stories. The mark of a good story is that it rings true- like a well tuned E string on a guitar. A good tale does not carry an allegory like a troll his hammer- but leaves a gentle trail: a trace like the scent of tea olive on the breeze. The scent is not the tea olive- but points to it.
I invite you to join me on a journey of story-weaving, book-bantering, and thought-musing. In the words of Jewel the unicorn from C. S. Lewis’s The Last Battle, “Bree-heehee! Come further up, come further in!”
To God be the glory!
‘If the whole universe has no meaning, we should never have found out that it has no meaning: just as, if there were no light in the universe and therefore no creatures with eyes, we should never know it was dark. Dark would be without meaning.’ – C. S. Lewis, Mere Christianity
